In the past, I once added a chunk by mistake. Given that in 5.x, the max chunks is limited - in our environment this was about 40 - this can be a very costly mistake. The fact that this capability is now available in 7.x shows proves my point. I only wish Informix can provide an add-on to cater for 5.x. But considering that 5.x is now in maintenance mode, fat hope... Rgds Alvin
