Even if we create a second group, the recruiters, who for the most part don't even read this group , will still put their ads here anyways. Since we are an unmoderated newsgroup, we really can't stop them from posting to this group. Two thoughts from previous discussions are as follows: 1) Create / Modify a charter which would be posted once a month which specifies what is considered proper postings. By doing this, we can then crack down on these guys until they get the message. Since we do have the IIUG (International Informix Users Group), I think that they are an excellent body to ratify such a policy. (Yeah, see, I didn't sleep through the Birds of a Feather session. ;-) 2) Create a space which they can post. Steve Stubbe (stubbe@madtech.com) has created an area where people can post about positions that they have open or want to find. If Informix wanted to, I'm sure they could set up a site on their sever to allow those to post their resume, or recruiters to post their current openings. Hmmm maybe use some of their *new* web technology to automate this? That would help to create a standard form which even they could use to recruit from. For those who don't know, Steve hosts the Chicago Area's Home Page. [OK, so its a subtle plug for you to check it out! ;-] Of course I really hate those recruiters who have to post the same position every other day since no one has responded to them. ;-) Will it ever end? -Mikey
