kho 2.0 GB is the upper limit on the size of a chunk. 1 or more chunks make up a dbspace. 1 or more dbspaces make up an instance. An instance can contain 1 or more databases. So imagine a (n oversimplified) scenario such as this: chunk 1 (2 GB) chunk 2 (2 GB) chunk 3 (2 GB) chunk 4 (2 GB) dbspace 1 is composed of chunks 1 and 3. dbspace 2 is composed of chunks 2 and 4 the instance is composed of dbspace 1 and 2. database 1 is 4GB in size and is contained in dbspace 1. database 2 is 3GB in size and is contained in dbspace 2.
