The only bells that ring are that I think I got the same } error when trying to connect use I-Net PC 4.10.UC1, and forgot the } "remsql -h blahhost -u blahuser -p blahpass -s blahserv", which kinda } makes me think that one of the DLL's is not getting loaded ? Maybe ? } } This is ___really___ important, so any help would be very gratefully } received. Ok, the usual reason for this is that an old (4.10) version of the file LDLLSQLW.DLL exists in the $WINDOWS\\SYSTEM directory. To fix this, open File Manager, Search for LDLLSQLW.DLL averywhere on the disk, it should find one in $INFORMIXDIR\\BIN (ca 40 K) and another somewhere else (in the SYSTEM directory for instance.) That one is probably around 150 K. Copy the 40K file over the old and you should be OK. The reason for this is the fact that the old Inet LDLLSQLW.DLL (4.10) tries to connect to the 4.10 TSR, which is a DOS program, It doesn't find it and gives back -854 (Back end not found or Back end is busy).
