CA's business model has been to acquire a company at a cheap price and ride out the lifespan and capture as much revenue as possible, while doing as little maintenance as possible. So CA stays profitable and then casts aside the lifeless husk and buys another company... IBM? LOL... there's more to them than that. With respect to Sun, I had an interesting conversation with a friend here in Chicago. We compared some notes... I'll have to do a mind dump in a different thread.... I'd pay no heed to the clone.
