RE: can not add dbspace
This seems to be a limitation in the Kernel parameters. You should increase
the parameters affecting the number of concurrent open files.

i Friends,
we are on NCR plateform, using 7.11UC2. While adding dbspaces I am getting
following error message.
I was using onspaces command. I could create 57 dbspaces and then started
gettting following error msg on the screen.
10:44:04 Cannot Open Primary Chunk '/dev/rdsk/chunk5b', errno = 24
10:44:06 Unable to create boot strap config file -
'/apps/informix/etc/oncfg_ns
f17_net_dev.17'
10:44:06 Checkpoint Completed: duration was 1 seconds.
10:44:07 Cannot Open Primary Chunk '/dev/rdsk/chunk5c', errno = 24
10:44:09 Unable to create boot strap config file -
'/apps/informix/etc/oncfg_ns
f17_net_dev.17'
No error message is reported into message log file. Kernel parameters are set
as per the release note.
