Grand Rapids?
Hmmm. Interesting.
OK, first, I'd stay away from IBI. Lots of vaporware!
(I'm sure I'll catch some flack from them ;-)
Second, you are asking for several things.
Informix has their UNIVERSAL Gateway product which is
an enhancment over their DRDA gateway product. (DRDA works fine.)
However that is Informix to DB2 only.
You expressed interest in Informix to MVS based data stores.
Which means you need to conform to mainframe security.
Talk with IBM. Look at their MQ series middle ware.
Now if you are planning to have TCP/IP on MVS or the eventual
move to OS-390, then you may have a different set of tools available.
But AFAIK, MQ series is the best for Mainframe to whatever
database. (UNIX/NT/whatever)
