ontape -r (Restore)

Hello!
We have a question about ontape -r.
We have saved with level 0 (ontape -s -L 0) a 46 GB Database (IDS
7.24)
in about 4 hours with a DLT - Tape - Libary.
OS is 4.0D from Digital.
Now, we wan't to restore on a new system (same OS and IDS)
with ontape -r. Now, we're waiting for about 9 hours to finish the
restore.
What is a the average time for a restore? Has anyone expirience with
this?
Thanks for response and sorry for my bad english.
Bye.

We've back upped our system with ontape, level 0, in 45 minutes.
We recovered it on a different machine in about 90 minutes.
We used Mammoth tapes (8 mm 20/40 GB)

Hi !
Now, for all: I've the result of my questions; here the restore-time:
:-)
13 hours for restore of 46 GB. Thruput was 60,38 MB / minute.
4 hours for backup of 46 GB.This thruput was 196,27 MB / minute;
Backup on AlphaServer 2100A 5/300 Mhz with DG-UX 4.0D.
Tape DLT TZ885 Digital-Storage-Works 30/70 GB. max 5.8 MB/sec.
PCI-Controller KSZPAA/HSZ50 Disks in Raid5.
Disks 25*4,3GB/7.2 k upm.
Restore on AlphaServer 1200 5/533 Mhz with DG-UX 4.0E.
PCI-Raid-Controller KSZPAA/HSZ50 Disks in Raid 0+1.
Disks 10*18,2 GB /10k upm.
We have tried to backup / restore from / to disks, but the thruput was
slower (???) than from / to tape. Is this normal?
Greetings. Thanks to all, who has responsed!
Bye
