Plausible theory, and something I hadn't thought of testing. But, I tried
it on a small instance, and no difference:
time onstat -
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 10.00.FC9 -- On-Line -- Up
00:01:39 -- 361472 Kbytes
real 0m1.025s
user 0m0.006s
sys 0m0.013s
I've raised a support call now btw, PMR 80853,001,866 refers.
