FM Should be possible. Just set INFORMIXDIR and PATH (as well as INFORMIXSERVER and ONCONFIG) differently for instances that run with IDS 7.22 and 7.31. Hi all, I'm sorry if this is a 'stupid' question, I'm an AIX admin not Informix DBA, and I've been tasked with installing Informix 7.31 on an RS6000 (running AIX 4.3.2) which already has IDS 7.22 installed. I've done upgrades often enough, but the datacenter here want 7.31 and 7.22 running together, simultaneously. They don't want to try it the install, so it's come to me. Is it possible, and if so, are there any major hidden problems? I've looked through the sparse manuals we've got, the FAQ, deja.com et al, but could find no pointers. MTIA, FM.
