IDS 10.0 error writing to /dev/null under Solaris only

Database selected. 807: Cannot open file for output. Error in line 1Near character position 20 Database closed. Why should that be? It's not a permissions thing on Solaris. A Solaris customer originally pointed it out, so it's not just something about my server. Thanks Neil
