Unload via OpenAdmin Task Scheduler

Is it possible to unload an Informix table using the OpenAdmin Task Scheduler?
I have created a task with the execution statement as
unload to Turret_DnB_Table.txt delimiter "|"
select sales_off from livturdb:turret_ar_dnb_table;
Thank you
John
Not like that... "UNLOAD" does not belong to the SQL dialect. It's an
"handy tool" provided by dbaccess (and maybe other tools like SQLCMD).
You can however create an external table in your procedure with the same
structure as the real table and INSERT INTO SELECT FROM...
It will work, and depending on some constraints it will be much faster than
the traditional UNLOAD

You can look at the following blog http://www.jfmiii.com/informix/?p=161
as an
example of using unload a table in a stored procedure. Unload is not
an SQL statement and therefore can not be used.

Not that way, no. The unload verb is implemented in dbaccess not in the
server! But you can us sn external table to perform the unload from inside
the engine.

Also, OpenAdmin Tool helps with configuring an unload task, providing
automatic creation of the external table or using an existing external
table. The configured unload task can also be saved and run on demand.
It's in Schema Manager. Choose the table, then:
1) To configure an unload: Actions->Tables->Unload Table
2) To view the configured unload tasks: Maximize the Information & Task
Status pod and navigate to the Task or Task Status tabs
Sumanth.
