In windows, Make a file that contains all of the commands you would normally run if you were doing it as a user: <ftpfile.cmd> cd /home/user/ ascii put somefile.txt bye Then, from the command line, run ftp -s:ftpfile.cmd. On UNIX, it's somewhat different, but it sounds like you want to go from NT, so this should do it. If you run into problems, on the NT command line, you should be able to do 'ftp -?' and it will give you a list of command line arguments, or just run ftp without connecting to a remote server and type 'help'.
