hi, where can I find the port number of the Informix dbserver? I tried etc directory but didn't find it. That's required by JDBC connection. Thanks. Jing

Start on the server in $INFORMIXDIR/etc in the file sqlhosts. Look for the servername entry you are using on the client. The third column is the servicename which you can then look up in /etc/services to get the actual port number. Art S. Kagel
