I think the problem is that you need a $ in front of the typedefs. esqlc doesn't read the C code, so it doesn't know that you are planning to typedef sessionNode or sessionList. You must $typedef these so that esqlc knows what List is supposed to be. ESQL/C isn't my forte (although I have yet to figure out what IS), but I'm sure Jonathan will correct me if I'm wrong.
