Informix-NET is NOT an ODBC-driver. It is the networking component of Informix, linking Informix frontends on one machine to the Informix backend on another. There are ODBC-drivers that work over I-NET/PC, and there are some that don't need it (but need host software on the server instead). I-NET/PC 4.1 was a conventional memory hog, but the newer I-NET/PC 5.01 is a pure Windows application which needs no conventional memory at all. : 3. Remapping keyboards is done via unix's termcap and terminfo files, it is not : a job for a newbie. Keyboard remapping can also be done via the terminal emulation package, if the package allows it. This has the additional advantage that you don't have to change anything on the server.
