Informix 2000 transactions

informix appears to occasionally have a transaction problem.. Today we had a series of transactions not posted properly.. each transaction posts to 3 tables... 2 of the tables are ok the 3rd and also the most important doesn't appear to have any of the posts... the 3 table transactions are wrapped in a start transaction and commit... Informix returned no errors on the commit yet it didn't post the transactions properly. After recycling ids the problem went away...
