Topics: Backup & Restore
Hello,
Does anyone have a cheat sheet for initializing RSS for the 1st time? I have 2
instances that I can backup on one machine and restore to on another via
ontape -r and -p so I think my config is there. I can connect to databases on2nd machine from 1st so I think the connecticvity is there. All I want is to
get my steps straight.
thanx in advance,
dan
1. Back up primary using ontape or onbar
2. Restore secondary using ontape -p or onbar -p
3. On the primary run: onmode -d add rss <secondary server>
4. On the secondary run: onmode -d rss <primary server>
That's it.

On the primary:
onmode -d add RSS rssnode
ontape -s -L 0
On the secondary:
ontape -p
onmode -d RSS primary
I think.
