Hi, Anybody written any utility to compare two database structures for added/dropped/altered columns, data types, constraints..etc. I am trying to synchronize development database with production. The current state of dbdiff2.4gl is somewhat fractured, in that there are several versions around. The copy at www.iiug.org is dated October, 1999. In April of this year, I received a copy from Bryan Tonet <bryan@printman.com.au>, who said he had found and fixed a few bugs. Around that same time, I also heard from David Williams of Informix FAQ notoriety saying he also had a new version at "http://www.smooth1.demon.co.uk/dbdiff2.4gl". Since that time, the pedestrian though necessary demands of gainful employment have drawn my attention elsewhere, so I haven't had a chance to try to reconcile Bryan's and David's copies with that in the archive. If anyone would like to take a crack at it, let me know.
