However, the sqlturbo } : continues to "live" for up to 2 hours and is an unattached process. } } : The result of all of this is that the USER limit (as in the tbconfig) of } : 120 is soon exceeded and users then have to wait until all of the "hanging" } : sqlturbo's die off by themselves. At any one stage, we can have as many } : as 118 sqlturbos existing of which 60 - 70 are "hanging". } } This problem has nothing to do with the Online configuration. It has to do } with the way that the user is exiting. Most likely the user is leaving the } app 'ungracefully' in some manner. This leaves the process hanging waiting } for the user to continue. The two hour time comes from a UNIX parameter } - keep_alive - that defaults to two hours. By changing this parameter to } something less, like 1 minute, it will at least get rid of the orphans } quicker. Then check out the app and user to see why the user exits ungracefully. } } } : Various Online engine configurations have been tried but with no success. } } : Any suggestions or possible solutions ??? } } : Michael Engelbrecht We had this problem, and it's a real pain in the but. When we upgraded to Online Dynamic Server the problem was gone. Hope it helps.
