Linux - Unknown library
Posted in 2000

I have just installed Informix 7.3 on a fairly thin RedHat 6.2 system
which is apparently missing the library iosm07a.so (certainly required
by oninit). Could someone kindly point me towards its source.
Jeremy,
Have you downloaded IDS 7.30 from Intraware ? If yes, you might have
compatibility problem.
May be the missing library is one of sympthoms .
IDS (7.3, 9.20) were certified for RH versions with glibc 2.1.1 (i.e. 6.0
and 6.1). RH 6.2 uses glibc 2.1.2.
Best regards,
Sergey

$INFORMIXDIR/lib
ln -s $INFORMIXDIR/lib/iosm07a.so /usr/lib
Nominally, that should have happened during install. If it didn't,
maybe you weren't root, or something went wrong, or there's a bug in the
install script.
