I use the HP-UX 10.20 on the HP 712/100, and that machine has 64M memory and 1G HDD. After I installed Informix 7.2 on that machine, it had rebooted frequently. (about 3~4 times a day) The error message from /usr/adm/crash/core.NN/INDEX is "panic: Kernel scheduler interrupt". (If you set SAVE_CORE = 1 in /etc/rc.config.d/savecore, you can find that file after panic error) So I got the patches from http://us-support.external.hp.com. After I installed those patches, my system never crashed till now. (for 3days...) The patch list is follows... * PHKL_15958: LVM/UFS/NDDB/flkmgr/VxFS/PCI/kload/stape * PHCO_14842: fsck_vxfs(1M) cumulative patch * PHCO_16049: LVM commands cumulative patch * PHNE_15581: cumulative ARPA Transport patch * PHKL_12339: VxFS (JFS) fsck(1M) cumulative patch If you have the same error message, why don't you install those patches ? I wish you'll get a good result as same as mine. ps. My kernel configuration parameters of HP-UX is tuned by the set for the OLTP-Database Server. You can find this set by SAM.
