Chandra:
Think about writing meta-scripts that will run on neither platform. Then,
run one of two parsers that will change the syntax to match the desired
server. For instance:
Select *
From Tab1 T1, {InformixOuter} Tab2 T2
Where T1.joinfield ={MSSQLOuter} T2.joinfield {OracleOuter};
When parsing for Informix, replace '{InformixOuter}' string with 'OUTER' and
strip the other two strings. Similarly search and replace for the other
platforms. You might like it better than writing UNIONs, especially since
Informix can't handle UNIONs inside of views.
