Chunk symbolic links

Hi, I have a question about creating chunks with simbolic links: I can't figure it out how it's done. Let's assume that my chunks are on a separate storage. I did ln -s for all chunks to $INFORMIXDIR/storage/chunks but Informx doesn't start after I set the rootpath to $INFORMIXDIR/storage/chunks The errors are: Warning: stat() failed for chunk file /opt/ibm/informix.12.10.FC7X9AEE/storage/chunks/ts_rootdbs Cannot Open Primary Chunk '/opt/ibm/informix.12.10.FC7X9AEE/storage/chunks/ts_rootdbs', errno = 40
The ROOTPATH must be the file name (or a symlink to the file name) of chunk zero of the root dbspace. It must not be a directory name which your name suggests is what you are using. It's rootdbs. Issue is solved, there was a problem with the link file. This thread can be closed. Thank you.
