In South Africa, we have two gsm operators One allows for email-to-sms, the other doesn't. Thats fine, the one that doesn't we thought we'd just shove the data thru a POST operation on thier website... no, can't do that either. *sigh* Most of the gsm operators we looked at while researching just this thing allow you to email the data to a server which will shove the data thru to your phone as an sms message. Check with your operator. brett Andrew Hamm wrote: > > Hannes Visagie wrote in message <931k7g$3i7$1@news.xmission.com>... > > > > > >We have shell scripts that warn us via email, and GSM SMS to our mobile > >phones on any error/warring. > > > Oooo! > > I'd really like to get my hands on your box-to-SMS technology.
