Beta tester for new DBMS tool.

YUWARE is in the process of finalizing the commercial copy of CSQUEL, a client and server SQL development kit for C. CSQUEL is in the final beta testing phase. We are seeking interested beta test sites. To qualify, the beta test site must be currently a user of the Informix Online or Standard Engine RDBMS (version 4.1 or greater) and must be familiar with SQL and C programming. The beta test site will provide various reports via email within the span of the test. The test will include usability of the product and real programming projects that will fully test CSQUEL functionalities. The following platforms are ready for final beta testing: - IBM RISC/6000 AIX 3.2 - Sunsoft/Interactive Unix/386 3.2 R3.1 - Unixware (Univel) - USL SVR4.2 or compatible for Intel platform If you would like to be a beta site, please send email to yuware@netcom.com. Please include the following information in your reply: 1. Name, company, job title, address, and business phone #. 2. Nature of Business. 3. Informix products currently using (Database engine and tools). 4. Description and number of computers in your network. 5. Is your network TCP/IP based? 6. Describe your involvement in using Informix and in the development of database application in your business. 7. Number of users in your company using the database. 8. Platform or platforms above that you want to receive beta copies of CSQUEL software. Upon reviewing the above information, we will select 20 sites that shall best fit our beta tester profile. We shall contact you either by phone or email. You will receive a pre-release copy of CSQUEL for the platform you have selected. The pre-release copy includes a beta draft of the documentation and software on 3.5" diskette media. The software will include the API development library and an unlimited user license of the CSQUEL runtime SQL server. You will also receive a set of beta questionaires and reporting guidelines. When you are contacted, we shall send you a non-disclosure and beta agreement forms that will require your signature before any software or documentation will be send. Please sign and return these forms as soon as you can. As a beta site or beta tester, your time and contribution will be voluntary. YUWARE or any agents of YUWARE will not be liable or required to provide any compensation to those who volunteer.
