FW: Anyone found 2099 date in data

We had this happen with a Delphi application running on an NT Terminal Server. The DBCENTURY and DBDATE were set correctly on the database server. The Short Date setting on the Terminal Server was only set to a 2 digit year. The data was fine when it was fetched, but it was being written back to the database as 2099. We did notice later that the DBCENTURY setting on I-Connect was not set, but I think the Windoze box would have overridden it anyway. -Scott -----Original Message----- From: owner-informix-list@iiug.org [mailto:owner-informix-list@iiug.org] On Behalf Of Audrey Buchan Sent: Wednesday, January 26, 2000 4:48 AM To: informix-list@iiug.org Subject: Anyone found 2099 date in data I wondered if anyone else has come across the following. Users have reported that their data was represented with a date of 2099 instead of 1999 for the period 17th November 1999 to 31st December 1999. Once we moved into the year 2000 the problem was apparently resolved. We use informix online v5.10.UC3 and isql 4.20.UC1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Audrey Buchan E-Mail: audrey_buchan@agilent.com CSG IS uktelnet: 3133323 Agilent Technologies telnet: 3133323 South Queensferry intn phone: 44 131 331 6323 EH30 9TG UK intn FAX: 44 131 331 6335 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Available in IT : Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Hi! It's not Informix problem. I had the same in our application. The reason is in client application. In my case it was because of using: SomeDataset.Fields[0].AsText := <date_value>. If client PC has 4 digits in displaying year in date (see this in windows control panel) all works perfectly. But if only 2 digits - hop and here is a bug. Am I right?
