SE 5.02 / Locksituation

Hello!
We have: Informix SE 5.02 on compaq tru64/4.0E on alpha workstation
500
with 256 MB Ram.
We have 5-10 Users on the same table (table customers with 500000
Rows).
The program is written in 4GL. Problem is, that the table is locked
for all users from time to time. If I try to insert/update a row over
dbaccess, I become the message "Table is locked". But all users not in
transactions. The programmers say, they use row locking within the
transactions.
Can I obtain informations about the users/processes that lock the
table.
With dblog / selog --> no chance. With ps -u : no chance. Other Ideas?
Thanks for suggestions.

Not Y2K-compliant. Probably not supported. Please upgrade to 5.10.

Try chklock in the IIUG software archives.

Sounds like the reaal problem is that you need SET LOCK MODE TO WAIT in your
applications so that transient locks do not cause updates/inserts/deletes to
bomb.
