Informix 7.3 on NT Slow when replication across WAN

Hi, I have recently setup a Informix Replication server from Informix 7.3 running on Solaris 2.6 to a new Single PII 450 processor box running NT SP3 (256 MB Mem). When replication starts the processor sits at 100% for up to 20 mins Even though There were only 3 entries in the table. The WAN Link is 128 KB. The problematic process is Oninit, I notice that it also seems to continuously grab memory (very slowely). I have had NT error saying the machine is out of virtual memory after about 24 hours of running and am usually unable to log in or connect to stop the Informix Service. If anyone has any Ideas it would be much appreciated. Jason Chuang LAN Administrator DB Group Liquor Division New Zealand
I had a similar problem and started deleting the last replicates that I created. The table that seemed to be causing the problem had 2 columns and 10 records at the time. As soon as I deleted that particular replicate, CPU utilization dropped to zero and things returned to normal. I have had enough problems with replication that I have not tried to debug this any further. An Informix tech. is scheduled to come in and help up set up replication. Shannon
