Hy, Can anyone tell me how you have to tune the KERNEL concerning SEMAPHORES. When using Informix 7.23 UC6 on UNIX SVR4 1.4 ? Don't tell me it's in the release notes somewhere ! I know that, but I t seems I have problems with the number of connections to the database and someone told me it can be caused by bad SEMAPHORE KERNEL-parameter tuning .... tnx Wim

I do'nt know where the files are on the version of UNIX that you refer to but the tuning parameters below are required for SCO UNIX Ver 3.2.5.4. They are found in /etc/conf/cf.d/stune SHMMAX 671088640 SHMMIN 1 SHMALL 512 SHMMNI 100 SHMSEG 6 SEMMNI 2048 SEMMNS 2048 SEMMAP 2048 SEMMNU 100 SEMMSL 60 Cheers Des.
