Dear Bill We are currently running OnLine 5.01.UD4. We have this environment variable set (so it is not SE exclusive). It is used by Ace/4GL programs as a temporary repository for sort work files. Hope this is of benefit. At this stage I am unsure as to its use beyond version 5, but hope to find out soon when we upgrade to OnLine 7. Regards Glyn Balmer glynb@bicceri.demon.co.uk
