Newbie Question on Informix Database Connnection

Hi everybody, 1. Is it possible to connect to 2 databases at the same time using Informix Java API? In other words, let's say I want to retrieve data from 2 databases and display the results using Informix Java RMI connection, all at the same time. 2. I have create an Java applet, using Informix RMI classes to connect to my database reciting on the server. I tried to test the reliability of the connection for more than one time by retrieving a number of CLOBs data. It seems that after about 10 retrievals, the database server is unable to 'create any further user threads' and the server memory seems to run out. Is there any solution to it. 3. Finally, l need to transfer important data securely across the network using RMI classes. But the middleware is written by Informix. Is there anyway to ensure encrypted or secure data can be transfer across. The data retrieved by the applet is immediately pass to the RMI classes rather than encrypted which makes it hard to control the confidentiality and authenticity of the data.
