Remember me?? You helped us a while back !! Well, we finally migrated to HPUX 10.20 and 7.22 -- Informix kept crashing sporadically as soon as we installed it so we found out that we needed 7.23 - so far so good. Tape drivers are wierding out !! My informix archive times have increased dramatically after the upgrade. I'm still working on that problem. Other than that we've seen much improvement after some kernel tuning, informix tuning and application tuning as well. Guess we needed to cover all the bases. So in general on the T500 we are looking pretty good. We've increased our informix buffers, reduced the LRU, Min/Max and played with the checkpoints as well to get things looking pretty good. We'll be migrating back to raid in the near future once we get totally stable. We've also noticed that the O/S is behaving better since we've cleaned up a lot in the upgrade process. Actually we installed 10.20 cold and imported most of the VG's which was a ton easier than the 9.04-10.x upgrade process.. Stay in touch - things going pretty well here !! Ed edbid @ cobe.com
