I would think that the easiest way would be to use mounted file systems between machines. In other words, if BoxA has the database and BoxB has the application, mount the database directory(ies) on BoxA from BoxB or the application directory(ies) on BoxB from BoxA (or both). I'm not sure how this would work with raw filespaces, but it works with cooked. carlos Nick Kataria wrote: > Hi, > > We have an urgent issue here. You only need to install a runtime package, iConnect, available free through IntraWare from the Informix WEB Site, in a version compatible with the front-end development tools you are using (any of the latest several versions will work for you) and configure the sqlhosts file and /etc/services file there and the usual Informix environment variables with INFORMIXSERVER naming the remote server. This is really pretty easy. Art S. Kagel Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.
