Hi Folks,
I'm coming from SQL Server 7.0 on NT 4, and I really find dbaccess
primitive. Please tell me - what GUI tools are available for Linux?
Something that compares with SQL Server would be great, i.e. Excel-like
viewing and editing of data, nice editor for trying SQL, opening SQL
files, etc. I can't imagine people are *developing* using dbaccess.
Thanks in advance...

Hi there.
If you don't feel you have to sit at the server-console while developing,
there is no problem at all to use your GUI-NT4 tools.
There are a bunch of them available. You just setup a client-machine and run
NT4 on that. Connect to the Linux-server running IDS2000,
and you're free to choose almost whatever tool you'd like for your
developing.
