This works fine and I think there is no problem to connect to a 5.x SE System. But you will have to install the Informix NET or Informix-STAR product at the SE site. Afterwards you must start the daemon process "sqlexecd", which will wait for a connection. I don't know anything about distributed queries in such an environment. Bye Stefan. stefan@weideneder.de
