ER CDR_QDATA_SBSSPACE

I have ER set up between several systems. They are all Aix 7.1 but the informix versions vary. I have 12.10.fc3, 11.50.fc7, and 11.50.fc4. On the system which has the 11.50.fc4 engine, the dbspace listed in the CDR_QDATA_SBSPACE parameter continues to grow and never seems to be releasing space back to ER. On my other systems all seems to be working as expected. So, the question, is there a way to force this to clean things up. I have had this in the past and just dropped all the ER stuff from that system and then recreated it. Since then however the number of tables and such has grown, so that isn't as easily accomplished. Any help would be appreciated. Peter Logan Database Administrator SpartanNash INC. Office: 616/878-8309 Mobile: 616/304-9672 E-Mail: peter.logan@spartannash.com
Hi Peter. You can try cdr check paging -R But look for any fixpack, also, and upgrade your 11.50 instances as soon as possible, that should solve your issue quicker. Best regards. That seems to only work in the 11.50.fc7 server .. Upgrading isn't an option ... Peter Logan Database Administrator SpartanNash INC. I ran into a very similar if not the same problem 4 or 5 years ago, known defect fixed in FC7 or FC8. Once any spool data is created in that space it continues to *spool* . I recall I had to restart the engine to clean it up as it could cause ER to freeze on that server should it "fill" up. Contact Tech Support on the best way to proceed. Mark
