But I can build a cluster of Hadoop/HBase machines and set up a DW in less than 8 days! (Ok, assuming that the machines are already built and are already networked...) All for what it would cost to put Informix Enterprise Ed on just one of the servers. ;-) (Maybe a slight exaggeration, depending on the discount given by IBM and the cost of your hardware.) But hey! What do I know? I've only been building Hadoop/HBase clusters for approx 12 weeks! ;-P And if I could do it, anyone can. (Ok, now that *is* an exaggeration. I just make it look easy.) -G > Date: Mon, 18 Jan 2010 18:49:09 -0500 > From: lester@advancedatatools.com > To: informix-list@iiug.org; waiug-members@iiug.org > Subject: Webcast - Rapid Data Warehouse Development - Build a Pilot in 8 weeks! > > Folks, > > Advanced DataTools is hosting a series of Webcasts on Building a Data Warehouse with Informix.
