Java JRE problem in testing IDS 11.50

Dear All... I've downloaded IDS 11.50 developement version to test in Red Hat Enterprise 5 ,while try installing it , the java jre does not work , may I ask , what is the proper version in this OS , I get jdk1.2.2 and always get segment fault while type javac !~~~ Thanks for your comments !!

I am sorry that I did not describe the problem in details , I try to run ids_install to install IDS 11.50 , but failed because I don't have a good Java Run Time Environment , "this application requires the Java Run Time Environment to run" , I have a JDK1.2.2 in the RedHat Enterprise 5 , I used to use it in Enterprise 3 , but don't know why it failed in this RHEL 5 , so , I'd like to ask , what jre should I use so that I can run ids_install ...
