He could be a virtual incantation used by a sinister force hiding behind a comet. We do not have enough information at this point in time. A sensor probe should be launched. The whole thing barged into our little group with so much silliness, I couldn't resist. It didn't eat up any paper, just a few more bytes, so no real harm done in the theatre of the mind. Those that suffered the most are I fear are those poor souls who get the newsgroup via email. This is a heavy cross to bear, and my heart goes out to them. > Tim, if you really don't know what the > word 'arsehole' denotes and connotes in British usage I suggest you > mentally blank out letters 2-4 and then see if your own vocabulary > supplies anything similar. We get many interesting posts into our little technical forum. For a while it was very intolerant, where the posts had to be extremely focused on the product-line, but over the years it's relaxed a bit. We're actually seeing some very interesting discussions about the computing environment in general, and the market, which ultimately impacts the product. Of late we get all kinds of trash, lots of recruiters, get rich quick schemers, scammers, spammers, and all manner of carpet baggers, houligans, scoundrels, and scallowags. Very reminicent of an earlier time in our little country. Steve's contribution was really a blessing we had to give back--we've been blessed with so many of these silly posts. > If anyone on this panoply of comp. groups really wants to know about > the Referendum Party, they're a party created by a multi-millionaire > who lives in Mexico, standing in this Thursday's general election on > the single issue of a referendum on British withdrawal from the > European Union. I will be more observant on the information highway, watching and dodging the road kill that was, dare I say, the posts of the lesser wise. Driving at night is always a risky proposition not only for the driver, but the lurking beasts that creep along too close to the curb. However if they feed at night we must be ever vigilant and be prepared for that glazed look suddenly beset upon us. 8-) -- Tim Schaefer \\\\|// tschaefe@mindspring.com (6 6) ------------------------oOOo---( )---o00o--------- http://www.mindspring.com/~tschaefe
