Jeff,
Have a look at a product called "ReForm". I used it many years ago on an
insurance claims system written in Informix 4GL. You produce a standard report
from Informix and send it to the ReForm printer. It reformats the data based
on a template you create and *bingo* you get nice looking forms with line
drawing characters, etc.
I don't remember the company but I know it ran on a lot of Unix flavours. A
WEB search should find the company.

We are currently running character based Informix 4gl applications on HP-UX

I need to be able to generate a fancy report (for invoicing, multiple fonts,
bold face, italics, graphical boxes,etc).
I realize I can embed HP print control language (PCL) in the 4gl code but am
trying to avoid this.
Do you know of a product which will run on HP-UX and allow design of a fancy
report and which will interface with Informix 4gl code?
Thanks for the help.
