I have installed IDS 9.2 on my Red Hat Linux box and have just finished
creating my rootdbs. I am logged in as user informix and all permissions
seem to be fine. When I try to run oninit -i to initialize rootdbs, I
get the following:
Message 1515 not found.
Message 1640 not found.
<hangs there, so I hit enter>
Message 1642 not found.
Message 1640 not found.
<hangs there, so I hit enter>
Message 1642 not found.
Message 1640 not found.
<type exit>
Message 1502 not found.
(back to prompt)
What am I missing?
Thanks.

Before you buy.
It is probably asking for a 'y/n' response to 'DO YOU REALLY KNOW WHAT YOU
ARE DOING, WIPING OUT MY PRECIOUS ROOTDBS????'.
Have no idea where your messages are.
You can use oninit -iy to force a 'y' response to all questions.
