DSS tuning

I've just inherited a Data Mart running on Informix. I've been a DBA of OLTP applications running on Informix for 5 years and feel I have a good handle on how to tune an engine for OLTP. However, I know little to nothing about tuning for DSS. Can anyone give me some general pointers/guidelines for tuning DSS and how it differs from OLTP? These are separate instances running on separate boxes so I can tune them individually. Thanks in advance! By the way, we're running 7.30.UC3.

Check out my article in Tech Note Vol 8 No 3 which discussed the differences somewhat and an article in the latest Tech Notes by Jack Parker on exactly this subject (Vol 10 No 1).
