In the older version of informix that my client is using they used to be able to hit an escape key to exit their queery or form. In the new verson se7.23 and sql 7.20....has the escape key changed...or is it a syntax problem in the form?

The problem could be a bug; indeed, as described, it appears to be one. You should probably be upgrading; I don't think 7.23 is officially regarded as Y2K-compliant (but double check the Informix web site on that -- it is a border-line version). Which platform are you using, and what's the sub-version on the ISQL -- the xy in 7.20.Uxy. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.95 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
