Bus error after migration to 64bit

Hi all, after an so upgrade to sun solaris 2.8 we had the informix updated as well to informix 7.31.fd6. For development porpuses we're using IBM Informix-ESQL Version 9.53.FC2R1 and gcc version 3.3.2. After this upgrade, our application can be compiled but it's crashing at the very begging with a "bus error" message. We have tried to use gdb for debugging but it only shows the first line of the main() function. We're kind of lost here and any help would be appreciated. thanks in advance.

Try a static link (-static) and try running against a network connection rather than a shared memory one. If that works then likely you have to adjust the shared memory attach address. Art S. Kagel
