Assert Failed while installing 7.20

I'm trying to install 7.20 on a Dec machine running OSF 3.2. My 3rd party software is spitting out some messages that Informix is unable to connect and the error is a sqlcode -25588. Unknown error message 81. Error in line 202 Near character position 5 25588: The appl process cannot connect to OnLine server pcmin80mspshm. No such file or directory Error in line 421 Near character position 5 My guess is a misconfiguration related to shared memory, perhaps. As you can see I'm a little green.
