Hi, I don't know any other solution than restoring the whole database to another server and unloading the table. It's --possible-- to recover the
data, but tedious and non-trivial. You'd have
to find the deleted partition page that used to hold the table's extent list
within the free list or 'unused' pages in the correct dbspace's tablespace
tablespace and read the extent list from it. Then you could read through the
extents (assuming no other table has already coopted the disk space) parse the
slot table on each page and extract the data and write it to a file as a binary
record or convert it to text. If you write the data in binary you can use my
ul.ec utility (in utils2_ak) to reload the data to a new table that matches the
original's schema. If you write the data in text, you can use the dbaccess LOAD
verb, dbload, or Jonathan Leffler's sqlload utility from the sqlcmd package.
As I said non-trivial.
Best solution, as already mentioned, is to restore an archive from prior to the
dropping of the table, possibly including any logical logs from the archive
time
until shortly before the table was dropped, to another machine and extract the
data from that instance using the normal tools.
