Unloading data from HDR

Hi to All
Our Production Database is about 300 Go, and beside the ontapes backup we need
the data on text format. There are some huge table (about 200 000 000 rows for
the hugest one), so the dbexport takes time, about 12 hours to 16 hours, of
course we used to did it in Week ends.
Now the users work also in weekends, so i'm thinking to use our HDR server to
do this dbexport, but i know that dbexport locks the database and i guess its
will causes problems with the replication process.
So, is there a way to unload data, as quickly as possible, on a HDR server ?
or any other way ?
Thanks in advance for your usual support.
Use my dbexport replacement utility myexport using the external table and
parallel processing modes, it will be significantly faster than dbexport.

Ok, i'll try it Thank you
Hello Mr Art How to extract .shar of your myexport tool thanks
.shar files are shell archives. You can just run it like a shell script using either any ksh compatible shell including ksh, pdksh, or bash in an empty directory and it will unpack itself. It probably has "#! /usr/bin/ksh" embedded in the first line, but you can either edit it to change the shell or path or just run it as: bash ./myexport.shar Art Art S.
