Informix 7.20 installation on Unixware 7.1.1

A newbie question : I'm trying to install Informix 7.20 on a Unixware 7.1.1 When asked for an installation directory, whatever i try, it says it's on the root partition and if i continue it says "Invalid INFORMIXDIR or insufficient space" although there is 782Mo free on the root filesystem Any idea ?

Yes! You have to setup ENVIORNMENT variable INFORMIXDIR first, and then tell the same directory to the installation program.
