We still haven't come to a proper solution. Please, if anyone has a suggestion oder experienced a similar problem, answer me. I greatly appreciate any help provided. -- Benedikt Ries ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Benedikt Ries's Profile: http://www.dbtalk.net/m1098 View this thread: http://www.dbtalk.net/t341877

Well, I for one don't see any trace of your problem information in this posting, so you can't get accurate help. You could look at the unload.format file in the SQLCMD distribution from the IIUG (http://www.iiug.org/software) and see if that helps you. It may also be said (again?) that those in the Informix camp are likely to be less sympathetic to your problem than those in the MS SQL Server 2005 camp. The obvious solution to your problem is to use a working DBMS like Informix. -- Jonathan Leffler #include <disclaimer.h> Email: jleffler@earthlink.net, jleffler@us.ibm.com Guardian of DBD::Informix v2005.02 -- http://dbi.perl.org/

Anyway, you can be pretty sure that if anyboody had any solution he/she would post it. I would. Hope you'll find the answer soon. Regards,

If you think this may help you i can give you more details, or even a java class example so you can adapt it to your needs. my .02
berso, that sounds interesting. MY destination server is MS SQL Server 2005 but the rest is right. could you give me a sample? -- Benedikt Ries ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Benedikt Ries's Profile: http://www.dbtalk.net/m1098 View this thread: http://www.dbtalk.net/t341877
